Canary Garden is a wonderful non-profit organization offering grief support for children. It was organized in Utah County three years ago and has grown to serve several families with children who have lost a parent or sibling. Canary Garden groups meet at the Kids-On-The-Move facility adjacent to Orem Community Hospital. Children participate in fun and theraputic activities together with other youth who have experienced similar loss. They are given opportunities to open up and share and when ready, tell their own stories to the other members of their group. The annual balloon launch activity has received great news coverage and has become an anticipated event for all members and their families.

Canary Garden is operated through federal and local grants and by generous contributions from supporters and friends. There is no fee for participation.
