Billie Jeane Peterson

Billie Jeane Peterson beloved mother, grandmother and friend was called home by her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, April 25, 2012. She was born April 18, 1930 in Salt Lake City, the only child of Ferd & Cora Acord. She grew up with and was very close to her cousins that she thought of as siblings.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved her callings in Primary and as the Ward Librarian. She worked for Boeing at Hill Air Force Base, as a checker at Silver Dollar Market and Pioneer Market, Mountain Bell Telephone Co. and retired from US West in 1990.

She loved spending time with her family, working in her yard and crocheting blankets for each new grandbaby. Every year she made the Lehi Roundup a three day family affair. She was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her children: Kip (Paula) Peterson, Gail (Stephen) Holbrook, Toni (Lewis) Harris, and Michael (Blake) Burch, all of Lehi, 22 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, with six on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lehi 2nd Ward Chapel, 435 East 300 North. Friends may greet the family on Thursday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. at Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main, Lehi and from 9:30 -10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery. We would like to thank the friends and family who have been there for us. Also a special thanks to First Choice Home Health and Hospice for the loving care they provided for our mother.
