Marie Patricia Pontigo Del Lago

Maria Patricia Del Lago passed away peacefully in her home on May 25,2012. Patricia was born January 4, 1958 to Antonio Bernardino Pontigo Alvares and Mercedes Elena Lara Catalan. She married her husband, Marcelo Patricio Del Lago, on May 8, 1978 and sealed in the Santiago, Chile temple.

She met her husband at the age of 16 and married him 4 years later. After the birth of her third child, her and her husband decided to look for LDS missionaries and join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They later decided to move to the U.S.A. for her husband to study at Brigham Young University. Soon after they moved, they were blessed with the birth of 2 more children. She dedicated her time and love to her children meanwhile supporting her husband in school.

She had a desire to love and serve others. She showed her love of compassion for others and became a Red Cross instructor because she wanted to save lives. She was a thrilled grandmother and often said her grandchildren were her biggest blessing. She enjoyed spending any time she could with them and enjoyed watching them grow.
